A Parade of Stars at the Bill Board Awards

Lights, cameras, star power, and music lit up the Las Vegas stage of the MGM Grand Garden Arena for the 2015 BillBoard Awards. Hosted this year by hip-hop artist and actor Ludacris, and TV host and supermodel Chrissy Teigen, the special annual event featuring America’s hottest hit makers was riveting and filled with special musical performances. 

A memorial salute to African American legendary greats B.B. King and Ben E. King, whose family was in the audience, brought tears to their eyes. Chris Brown garnished the hearts of his loyal fans, holding his beautiful daughter 11 month old Royalty, and Jennifer Lopez, Taraji P. Henson, Nicki Minaj, Celine Deon, and Kelly Clarkson graced the red carpet in full strut as though they were the queens of Egypt. John Legend, Pitbull, Wiz Khalifa, 50 Cent, NE-YO, and One Direction were dressed to the nines as well. 


America’s sweetheart, Taylor Swift was the biggest winner of awards for the evening, taking home eight, which included the top prize Artist of the Year. Pharrell, Sam Smith and Iggy Azalea, each took home three Billboard Awards in various categories. Mariah delivered a stellar performance bringing people to their feet, which took them down memory lane with her first BillBoard hit record, and Kanye West closed the show with his sister-in laws Kendall and Kylie Jenner doing the introduction of him. 

The star-studded night was magical as the selfies and Instagram backstage photos gave personal reflections of what celebrities were doing in between performances while sharing the spotlight with friends. After all, they were in Vegas, helping to celebrate the biggest hits of the year. The show was high-energy, focusing on one-of-a-kind performances, which included a performance from Jussie Smollet, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, and Estelle delivering a powerful rendition of stand-out song “Conquerer” and viewer’s favorite “You’re So Beautiful” from their breakout hit show “Empire.
